Education:  Graduate of Ardmore High School, Ardmore OK, Harding College, Searcy AR with a B.A. in Physical Educaton and Masters of Education

Employment: Head Football Coach at Edmond High School, Tulsa Union High School, Broken Arrow High School, and Greenwood High School.  3 year Assistant Coach at Missouri State University under Coach Jesse Branch.  Senior Assistant to the Head Coach at the University of Missouri

Achievements: 

  • Overall coaching record 317-74

  • State Champion overall 9 times – 8 at Greenwood

  • State Champion Runner Up overall 5 times – 3 at Greenwood

  • 18 times Coach of the Year

  • 2012 National Federation of High Schools National Football Coach of the Year

  • 2013 Oklahoma High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame Inductee

  • 2013 Arkansas Democrat-Gazette State Coach of the Year

  • $20,000 school grant winner in the Eastbay “Prepare to Win” video contest about “The 56 Sprints” philosophy

  • 2016 Positive Coaching Alliance National Double Goal Coaching Award

  • 2016 Harding University Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee

  • 2107 Semper Fidelis Coach Award

  • 2018 Career 300 Wins Milestone

  • 2018 AFCA Power of Influence National Coach of the Year
